Filter Tip Effectiveness Against Radioactive Carryover

ART® pipet tips from Molecular BioProducts, Inc., were compared with filter tips from four other manufacturers in a test designed to measure the degree of protection each filter provides against carryover contamination from radioactive sample. Only ART® filter tips completely blocked the passage of liquids and radioactive label. Of the five filter tips tested, only ART® tips provided complete and consistent protection against pipettor contamination.
